Try a different type of hot chocolate. Combine black tea and chocolate to create a completely different recipe. This drink will keep you warm through this holiday season.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups boiling water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 4 bags black tea
- Whipped cream
- 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 8 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1/2 tablespoon cardamom pods
Method of Preparation:
1. Place the tea bag in a saucepan and pour the boiling water over them.
2. Cover the pan and allow it to sit for 4 minutes.
3. Remove the teabags and incorporate the cocoa powder and sugar.
4. Cook over medium heat and bring the mixture to boil.
5. Reduce the heat to low and incorporate the vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom, milk and cinnamon.
6. Stir until the mixture is well blended and remove from heat.
7. Serve in mugs and top with whipped cream.
