This apple based cider would not be the same without the amazing scent the vanilla brings into the mix. Enjoy the aroma it’ll leave in your kitchen.
Ingredients:
- 1 vanilla bean, scraped
- 6 cups apple cider
- 2 whole nutmeg seeds
- Whipped cream
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- Honeyed walnuts
Method of Preparation:
1. Place the nutmeg seeds, sugar, vanilla bean and apple cider in a saucepan.
2. Simmer the ingredients over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Strain the mixture and discard the solids.
5. Divide the mixture into 6 mugs.
6. Top them with whipped cream and honeyed walnuts.
